Install a new tape gasket (sold separately) around the perimeter of the glass, position the panel evenly, and secure retainers without overtightening to allow for proper thermal expansion.

This is not tempered glass. Tempered glass is unsafe for wood-burning stoves and can fail at temperatures above 450°F.
