Tempered Glass

Our heat-resistant tempered glass takes 10-14 business days to have made. If you have questions give us a call at 217-223-0999

 Because of the nature of this glass, and the way it is made, all sales are final. Because all orders are custom cut, there can be no refunds once the glass is cut. It can take up to 14 days because the glass is cut and then "cooked" in a high temperature oven, and then rapidly cooled. For cost reasons this type of product is done in batches

*Once Tempered - The glass can not be re-cut.  For this reason, all tempered glass orders are non-refundable*.

*** Tempered Glass should Never -Ever be used in an air tight wood stove! ***

Why?  Because Tempered glass can handle up to about 450 Degrees F .....Woodstoves can get much hotter!  Well over 1000 Degrees F.  For woodstoves / Inserts / Pellet stoves you should use Ceramic glass.  

Tempered glass is typically used in woodburning and some older Gas Fireplaces.  The Bi-fold door Style....4 doors with all the same size glass.  

Compatible With

• Bi-Fold door fireplaces
• Select Gas fireplaces (check manufacturer’s manual)

Not For: Cooktops, factory-built woodstoves, or inserts rated for ceramic glass.

How to Measure for Custom Cut Glass

1. Remove your old glass (if possible) for the most accurate measurement.
2. Use a metal tape measure for precision.
3. If you do not have the old glass, subtract at least 1/8" from both width and height of the frame size to allow for heat expansion.
4. Double-check dimensions before ordering—custom glass is non-returnable.

1. Warranty:  Total-Hearth.com guarantees your glass to arrive unbroken and to the precise specifications of your order. Because each piece of glass from Total-Hearth.com is uniquely made to order, we only accept returns if it falls within our returns policy (see below). Once the customer receives the order it is that customers sole responsibility to care for the glass. If your glass is not made to your specifications you must notify Total-Hearth.com within 30 days of order date. After 30 days Total-Hearth.com will not be held responsible for any errors made.
   
2. Returns:  Custom tempered glass orders cannot be returned. 
   
   

   Requests will not be approved if...

   -the glass cracked during installation (glass installation instructions)

   -the glass cracked after installation

   -the return date is later than 30 days of the original order

   -the glass was custom sized
