Purpose of the Secondary Air Tube:

Secondary air tubes introduce preheated oxygen above the fire, igniting unburned wood gases before they exit the stove. This process improves efficiency, increases heat output, reduces visible smoke, and minimizes creosote buildup. Warped, cracked, or deteriorated tubes should be replaced promptly to maintain safe and efficient operation.

Installation Instructions:

Allow the stove to cool completely before servicing. Ensure all embers are extinguished and remove ash from the firebox.

Locate the secondary air tubes positioned across the top of the firebox interior.

To remove an existing tube, insert a screwdriver (any type except flat head) into one of the air holes and gently tap the tube to the left. This releases the right end of the tube from its retaining bracket.

Once the right end is free, lower and remove the tube from the firebox.

To install the new W720-0160 air tube, reverse the removal process. Insert the left end first, raise the tube into position, and slide it to the right until it locks securely in place.

Repeat the process for all remaining tubes. All secondary air tubes must be installed and intact for proper and safe stove operation.
