Why Choose the US Stove 23397 Flue Baffle?

A cracked, warped, or missing flue baffle allows heat to escape too quickly, reduces efficiency, and exposes the firebox to excessive heat. Replacing worn components with the OEM 23397 flue baffle restores proper airflow, improves heat retention, and protects internal furnace components. Built to factory standards, this baffle ensures reliable performance and long service life.

Installation Instructions:

Allow the furnace to cool completely before servicing. Ensure all embers are extinguished and remove ash from the firebox.

Open the firebox door and locate the existing flue baffle plates positioned near the top of the firebox.

Carefully slide or lift the old baffle plates out of their support brackets or ledges. Use caution, as baffles may be heavy or brittle.

Clean the baffle support area to remove ash and debris. Inspect brackets and firebox surfaces for damage or warping.

Insert the new 23397 steel flue baffle into position, ensuring it sits flat and properly redirects exhaust toward the flue outlet.

If your furnace uses multiple baffles, repeat the process until all required plates are installed.

Close the firebox door and resume normal operation.

Installation tip: Never operate the furnace without the correct number of baffles installed. Missing baffles can reduce efficiency and cause permanent firebox damage.
